10 Year Old Traveling Team

If you are 10 years old or under as of April 30^th, 2008 and you are registered to play in the American League, consider trying out for the 10 and under Traveling Team.

1. You are invited to practice on the American League Field on Sunday April 6^th and April 13^th at 3:30 at the American League Field. Notice will be posted at the American League Field if practice will be canceled due to weather. You do not need to sign up to attend, just show up, practice, and have fun.

2. The team will be selected by coaches from other leagues and age groups. The team will be selected based upon the two practices, there will be no formal tryout. Coaches will consider running, fielding, throwing, batting, hustle and attitude. The coaches for the traveling will be selected from those parents of boys who earn a spot on the team.

3. The traveling team will practice each week starting in April. The team will play in tournaments including Father’s Day in Scottsbluff, 10-year-old State tournament in Chadron on the weekend of July 11^th, and possibly tournaments in Colorado and Wyoming.

4. Sponsors will assist but parents will be expected to help pay for uniforms and their son’s share of the entry fee for each tournament and handle their own travel, room and meals for out-of-town tournaments. Parents will also be asked to help with the Father’s Day tournament and any other tournaments or games that are hosted in Scottsbluff.
